The Story Behind MoodNode
I've spent 20 years at the intersection of art and technology. My journey began with photography and digital manipulation, eventually leading to Art Direction for global campaigns. Highlighting this path are milestones like having my work for Jeep featured in Lürzer's Archive and designing the cover for Santiago Gamboa's acclaimed novel, Necropolis.
After various industry awards and working on numerous SaaS projects—including a period as a UX Team Lead—I am currently a designer at a major AI company.
As a power user, I thrive on shortcuts and fast iteration. But working daily with AI, I hit a wall: “tab-switching” fatigue. One tab for generation, another for editing, a third for video. The process felt fragmented. I wanted a single canvas.
Inspired by the node-based workflows I've always admired in 3D tools like Blender, and built with the speed of Claude Code, I created MoodNode. Having worked alongside developers for decades, I knew exactly how the “gears” should turn. What started as a personal tool to optimize my own workflow grew into something I felt was worth sharing.
The MoodNode Approach
- •30+ AI Models: Chain them together via a drag-and-drop editor.
- •Your Keys, Your Ownership: Bring your own API keys and pay providers directly, or choose an affordable built-in plan if you prefer not to manage keys. Either way, you keep 100% of your work.
- •Privacy First: Everything is encrypted; no logs, no storage on our side.
I'm building this in the open to create the most optimal creative workflow. If even one person finds it useful—perhaps that's you—then the mission is a success.
A Note on the Alpha: MoodNode is currently in Alpha. Right now, I'm sharing my limited server storage with early users for free. As the project scales, I'll introduce a fair pricing model to cover costs—keeping it accessible for those who need it, and affordable for those who want more power.
