This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how MoodNode uses cookies and similar technologies, and your choices regarding their use. MoodNode is committed to transparency and minimal data collection.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to site owners. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remaining on your device for a set period or until you delete them).
2. Cookies We Use
MoodNode uses only essential authentication cookies provided by Supabase Auth. These cookies are strictly necessary for the application to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

These cookies are set by Supabase, our authentication and backend provider. They are essential for maintaining your login session and securing API requests. Without these cookies, you would need to sign in on every page visit.
3. Analytics Cookies (Optional)
With your consent, MoodNode uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website — such as which pages are visited and how long sessions last. This helps us improve the product. Analytics cookies are only set after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner.

We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means Google Analytics is loaded in a restricted mode by default. Analytics data is only collected after you give explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and local storage.
4. No Advertising Cookies
MoodNode does not use advertising cookies. We do not serve ads, do not participate in ad networks, and do not share any data with advertising platforms. Your usage of MoodNode is never used to build advertising profiles.
5. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, MoodNode uses your browser's localStorage for preferences and a few working records. Most stay on your device; the items below that reach our servers say so.
What We Store in localStorage
- Theme preference (light/dark mode and custom theme settings)
- Where you first arrived from (campaign tags and the referring site's name), saved once to your account when you sign up. See the Privacy Policy, Signup Source.
- Your own API keys, if you add them. They are never stored on our servers; Runway requests forward your Runway key through our server for that request only.
- Panel states (which panels are open or collapsed)
- Editor and model preferences (zoom, grid, default model and aspect ratio). These are also saved to your account so they follow you to other devices.
- Recent project cache for faster loading via IndexedDB
Everything else in localStorage remains on your device and is not sent to MoodNode or any third party. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings without affecting your account or cloud-stored projects.
6. How to Manage Cookies
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings:

- Safari:Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Please note that if you disable or delete the Supabase authentication cookies, you will be signed out of MoodNode and will need to sign in again on your next visit.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since MoodNode uses only essential cookies, we do not anticipate significant changes to this policy.
