Cookie Policy
Last updated: February 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how MoodNode uses cookies and similar technologies, and your choices regarding their use. MoodNode is committed to transparency and minimal data collection.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to site owners. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remaining on your device for a set period or until you delete them).
2. Cookies We Use
MoodNode uses only essential authentication cookies provided by Supabase Auth. These cookies are strictly necessary for the application to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
Authentication Cookies
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-access-token | Authenticates your session and authorizes API requests | Session |
| sb-refresh-token | Refreshes your access token to keep you signed in | Persistent |
These cookies are set by Supabase, our authentication and backend provider. They are essential for maintaining your login session and securing API requests. Without these cookies, you would need to sign in on every page visit.
3. No Third-Party Tracking Cookies
MoodNode does not use any third-party tracking cookies. We do not embed tracking pixels, social media widgets, or any other mechanism that would allow third parties to track your activity across websites.
4. No Advertising Cookies
MoodNode does not use advertising cookies. We do not serve ads, do not participate in ad networks, and do not share any data with advertising platforms. Your usage of MoodNode is never used to build advertising profiles.
5. No Analytics Cookies
MoodNode does not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service that sets cookies. We do not track page views, click patterns, or browsing behavior through cookie-based analytics tools. Any usage metrics we collect (such as storage usage and last active timestamp) are stored server-side and do not involve cookies.
6. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, MoodNode uses your browser's localStorage to store UI preferences locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers.
What We Store in localStorage
- Theme preference (light/dark mode and custom theme settings)
- Panel states (which panels are open or collapsed)
- Editor preferences (zoom level, grid settings)
- Recent project cache for faster loading via IndexedDB
localStorage data remains on your device and is never sent to MoodNode servers or any third party. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings without affecting your account or cloud-stored projects.
7. How to Manage Cookies
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Other Site Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions → Manage and Delete Cookies
Please note that if you disable or delete the Supabase authentication cookies, you will be signed out of MoodNode and will need to sign in again on your next visit.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since MoodNode uses only essential cookies, we do not anticipate significant changes to this policy.
