Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This page sums up how payments, cancellations and refunds work on MoodNode. It restates sections 5, 6 and 13 of our Terms of Service and section 5 of our Acceptable Use Policy, which are the governing text.
1. Subscriptions and cancellation
- Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle, at the then-current price for that plan
- You can cancel at any time from Settings → Plans. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid being charged for it
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until that date
2. Credits
- Plan credits are allocated per billing cycle and do not roll over
- Unused plan credits expire at the end of each billing cycle
- Refunds for unused credits are not provided unless required by law
3. Failed and refused generations
- Credits consumed by a failed generation are typically refunded automatically
- A prompt refused by our content screening is never charged
- A generation an AI provider refuses is refunded
- Generations on your own API key (BYOK) are billed by that provider, not by MoodNode, and you are responsible for those costs
4. EU and EEA consumers
EU/EEA consumers retain a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of subscription, except where you have actively used the Service (consuming credits or generating outputs) within that period, in which case the digital-content waiver under EU Consumer Rights Directive Art. 16(m) applies.
5. Billing questions
For a charge you do not recognise, a refund request, or any other billing question, write to [email protected].
